Michael George, Juris Doctorate, is the founder and Managing Director of Opes Trust, leading an attorney, CPA, and paralegal trustee team specializing in alternative investments and §453 Deferred Trusts. 

Michael has had a life long facination with alterntive investing.  He enjoyed over 25 years of experience in real estate investment and development.  He earned his Juris Doctorate graduate degree at the University of San Francisco School of Law with an emphasis in real estateinvestment and development.  He did a stint as a Contra Costa Deputy District Attorney and then in private practice before turning his career full time to investing.  Michael also served as a reserch fellow while in law school at the California Court of Appeals, 1st District.

He's married a most beautiful, intelligent blonde with her own successful career as a hospitality executive in San Francisco. They enjoy their grown four boys all in the Pacific Northwest, and their life in the little Italy neighborhood (North Beach) of San Francisco, California. He is also a hobby winemaking enthusiast having crafted delicious cabernet sauvignon from a friend’s Napa Valley vineyard.
